- Important Considerations When Picking a Web Hosting Provider
-
The first thing before choosing a web host is that you should be fully aware of your hosting requirements. If you are a beginner wanting to host a personal web site, then your only concern is that you get a decent amount of disk space for your web site with a host that is as cheap as $5 per month. However, if you are a developer, an online entrepreneur or an online business looking for e-commerce capabilities or advanced scripting technologies, then you can determine your requirements in the following order.

There are really only two major and really important things you need to do to run a wildly successful e-commerce web site.
If you do not have these two, it really doesn’t matter what else you have or do, your web site is guaranteed to fail. On the other hand if you do have these two and nothing else, your chances of success are still very high. That’s how important these two very important qualities are.

Most webmasters on the net today are familiar with what the industry calls "shared" web hosting accounts. A shared hosting account is where you rent a small amount of space on a server which is shared among many other users. This is a cheap way to get started online but it has many disadvantages - you will encounter email delivery problems because of spam complaints against other sites on the same server. You will find your site's grinding to a halt when someone else does some heavy database work on your server. You might even find your site going down because of a denial of service attack against someone else hosting hacking or piracy related material on your server See how you can avoid all these problems by using a virtual dedicated hosting ... - Custom Web Site Design
-
Web site design has certainly, in the past decade, evolved tremendously. More clients now are demanding custom design, as opposed to the 'cookie cutter' sites of yesteryear.
Where once there existed a limit as to the types of fonts used, the types of coding languages used, and the styles themselves, there is now the possibility for more variety in Web site design than ever before. This has come about because of the advances in technology that did not exist even a few years ago, and it has opened up many creative avenues for Web site designers in the creation of custom designs. | VPN Stay secure + proxy server |

Will VPN stay secure forever? How will VPN stay secure if its architecture consists of public links ? Now lets see how will VPN stay secure if it's architecture consists of public links. Today to gain more security people use VPNs and proxy servers. VPN abbreviation stands for Virtual Private Network or Networking. VPN is a way to create a secure "private" network by using the public Internet instead of separate dedicated network connections. It is the next step after proxy servers. VPN uses special protocols to encapsulate (put into a secure shell) packets of data before sending them over the Internet to a VPN partner. This kind of network architecture can help VPN stay secure and stable for a very long time. This way of encapsulation and sending over the Internet is widely referred to as "tunneling". Encapsulation is a way for two people with the same IP address to connect together via the VPN. This can happen if you have a couple of people who both have Linksys firewalls and accept the default IP address provided by the firewall. TCP encapsulation also does the work well if you are located behind a firewall that allows only ports 443 and 80. The following are the protocols used by VPN: PPTP, IPsec and L2TP. PPTP is Point-to-Point Tunneling Protocol. PPTP is the default protocol of VPN encapsulation and it is used by Windows' Virtual Private Networking features and this protocol is based on the PPP protocol (lused in dial-up connections for quite a long time). One of its advantages is that it can work with the non-IP protocols (e.g. IPX/SPX, NetBEUI, Appletalk, etc.). This can make VPN stay secure and stable even more than proxy servers forever since it is so flexible. Although using proxy servers is possible, it is strongly recommended accessing important resources through VPN. Sometimes they say that VPN is so slow or and it rather frequently drops the connection, is it true ? Let's see. This could be due to some kind of network latency. To make the performance better you can modify the MTU and encapsulation settings. IPsec abbreviation stands for Internet Protocol Security. It is the second extremely popular VPN protocol after PPTP and its becoming a recognized protocol as time goes by more and more. It's actually a set of multiple interrelated protocols and supports actually a better encryption than PPTP. IPsec's initial power is that is has a standardized way of encoding and of coordinating encoding between VPN endpoints, this is a feature that both PPTP and L2TP do not have. Will VPN stay secure if it uses such protocols? I think it will. At least more than the usual proxy servers. vzL2TP is a mix of a Cisco originated protocol which is called L2F and PPTP. Same as PPTP, it supports non-IP protocols, this can make VPN stay secure and stable forever since it is so flexible. It is more possible to come across this protocol used in non-Internet VPNs (like ATM, frame relay etc.) P2P applications are not allowed on the VPN networks. This traffic is blocked both to and from the Internet for VPN users. This can help VPN stay secure and protected from viruses and all kinds of attacks, but then again using of proxy servers can accomplish this task too in many cases.
