Web hosting terms - about unlimited bandwidth
Bandwidth explained:
Bandwidth is the amount of data transfer that you are allowed to have for a hosting package i.e. Let’s say you have a web page that is 48KB in size, now each time a user opens your site and goes to that page S/he downloads 48 KB of information on to their computer. If a 100 users view that page one time each then there has been a total of 4800 KB of data transferred from the server on which your files are stored for the computer of users.
Size of web Page: 48 KB
Number of users who viewed the web page: 100
Total amount of data transferred: 48KB * 100 = 4800 KB Read more...
Custom Web Site Design Is Best For Your Business
When a business makes the decision to gain an internet presence, whether they are the largest corporation or the smallest home business, they may be tempted to take what appears to be the "easy way" to get the company website up and running fast. The three major potential pitfalls here are:

1)Some hosting comes with "do it yourself" capabilities and pre-made templates. Although this is a great way to upload photos of your summer vacation for your family and friends to see, this is not a good way to make that great first impression for your business. In short, these "solutions" really do not present a professional image, and often use very minimal templates and overall poor layout and design. Read more...
Web site design company - important questions to ask
When in need of a web design, but have no clue about the typical web design process, I am quite certain that you must be feeling a bit overwhelmed about what to expect. As web designers, we oftentimes have a myriad of roles to fill when working with their clients, but as the client, you always have a right to know the complete design process up front. Let’s talk a bit about what questions you may want to ask a potential design firm before they get started on your website.
- “How much is this going to cost?” Of course you want to know that! Be sure the designer gives you a consultation, which allows you a sneak preview on what they will be
able to do for YOU. You want your designer to be personal with you, not general. Read more...
Cheap web hosting - what exactly does it mean to you
No, ‘cheap’ is not necessarily a bad thing (well, not always), but when it comes to a services industry as competitive and with as thin margins as the web hosting industry, customers better watch out. Hosts offering ‘low-cost’ services tend to offer the world for Rs. 900 per year but, usually fail to deliver even the most basic of services. Surprised? I’m not. Let me explain some basics for the benefit of the vast majority who would still be unsure as to what I’m rambling about.
A “web host” is a company (well, most like to think of themselves as such but that’s a whole new article) that is in the business of procuring bandwidth (internet connectivity) and servers (glorified computers) with the intent to re-sell the same, in smaller bits, to people who need storage space for their e-mails and websites. Business Web Site Design Basics
Blog - Web Hosting
On the Internet, the way your website looks reflects very heavily on your business. It is a fact of life that people judge other people by the way they look, and the cyber world
isn't any different. Potential customers judge your online business by the way your website presents itself. Take a second and think about what type of impression is your site giving. If you aren't satisfied by the image that your site presents, here are a few design aspects that you can possibly improve.

1. Graphics - Your business can't afford to have unprofessional looking graphics. All of the pictures on your site should have a purpose and be related to the page or section that it is placed on. Moving or animated graphics can also detract from the effectiveness of your site. Let the amateurs use the neon green flashing banners screaming "CLICK HERE," your site will be much better off with clear, professional graphics.

2. Loading Time - Your whole site should have pages that load quickly. If you have a catalog of pictures on your site, be sure to make thumbnails that you can click for a
larger picture. You should also specify width and height for all pictures. This way, all of the text can load on the page because it knows where the pictures are going to fit
without having to load the pictures. At the very least, concentrate on making sure that your main entry page is quick loading. Web surfers are impatient, don't make them wait too long, because it only takes one click of the back button and they may never see your site again.

3. Focus - Your site needs to be focused and easy to navigate. A potential customer should be able to tell what your site is about within five seconds of loading your main page. Sometimes webmasters try to cram everything about their site on the front page. A cramped look is not attractive. Try to lead visitors into other parts of your site instead of trying to fit your whole site on the front page.
You should also have a link to your home page on every page. Visitors don't always enter through the front page, and even if they do, they can easily get lost in an unfamiliar
site. Make sure that they can easily find your entry page.

4. Avoid Technology - Alright, don't avoid technology by any means, this is cyber space. What I mean is that you don't need to have the latest flashy design tricks on your
site. Your most important focus should be on creating an attractive, content filled, easy to navigate site. Until all of those criteria are filled, don't even think about
adding extra features. If you do, make sure that there is a reason for it and it fits with the site, otherwise it is a waste of time.
